The Stillwater Police Department announced that it arrested a public school teacher for alleged lewd proposals to a minor.
According to authorities, a concerned parent contacted the department on May 12 about a relationship between their child and 27-year-old Alberto Morejon.
An investigation identified Morejon as a Stillwater Public Schools teacher who contacted the minor through electronic means.
Stillwater Public Schools confirmed the arrest in a Wednesday morning Facebook post.
«SPS (Stillwater Public Schools) administration had no knowledge of this matter prior to this notification and has no additional information other than what is included in the Stillwater Police Department media release,» SPS Superintendent Dr. Marc Moore wrote in a note to district staff posted on SPS’ Facebook page.

Moore said the district will cooperate fully with local authorities in any future investigation related to Morejon’s arrest.
The district said it will not release any more information regarding this case as it considers personnel and student matters confidential.
Detectives arrested Morejon on Tuesday.
The case has been turned over to the Payne County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
