Descartando como «absurda» la afirmación de un senador republicano de que «sobreestima» el covid-19 como lo hizo con el VIH y el SIDA, el Dr. Anthony Fauci dijo el domingo que el riesgo para los Estados Unidos de la variante Omicron aún está por decidirse: sin embargo, los síntomas son alentadores.
“Hasta ahora, es demasiado pronto para hacer declaraciones definitivas al respecto, no parece que haya un maravilloso grado de gravedad”, dijo Fauci a CNN sobre el Estado de la Unión.
«Pero debemos tener cuidado antes de darnos cuenta de que [Omicron] es menos grave o que no causa ninguna enfermedad grave comparable a Delta».
